Filler

Dr. Hjelm uses filler to enhance facial features and can provide patients with natural and quick results.

Filler provides its volume for anywhere from 6 months to a year, which for the right patient is a great solution for their concerns. Dr. Hjelm’s approach is to enhance each patient’s natural features and prevent overfilling. He will remind his patients that he will never let them look overfilled!

The most common locations for facial filler are the lips, cheeks, tear troughs, temples and chin. Different

fillers are built specifically for these different areas. Dr. Hjelm utilizes several injections techniques to provide patients with the results they are looking for.

Tear Trough:

“Tear troughs” are the hollows that develop below the eyes. Filler can be a great temporary solution for patients. It smooths the transition from the eye to the cheek creating a youthful midface.

Lips:

Lip filler is used by both young and aging patients. Using different techniques, Dr. Hjelm can accomplish each patient’s goals. Some patients may prefer plump lips while others may be looking to restore height and lift the corners of their mouth.

Cheeks:

As one ages, bone density decreases, and facial fat pads fall. This is where cheek filler is a great solution for patients looking for a quick result. By providing volume in the right areas, Dr. Hjelm can reestablish high cheek bones that once were prominent.

Temples:

In any patient with hollowing in the temple area (area above and in front of the ears), filler can provide a quick and easy solution. The injection is quick and the fullness from the filler restores symmetry of the face.

Chin:

Instead of going through surgery for a chin implant to increase chin projection, chin filler is a non-surgical option that is not at risk of moving or causing bone resorption. Easily done in the office, patients see immediate and customizable results.
