When patients have recurrent ear pain, infections, or infections that do not respond to medication, in-office procedures or surgery may be a patient’s best option for effective long-term treatment. Surgical intervention might include ear tubes or eustachian tube surgery to ventilate the middle ear space. These surgeries are performed under general or local anesthesia and aim to clear infections, repair damaged structures, and prevent recurrent infections. Hearing evaluations, completed at our office, before and after surgery confirm successful treatment.

Our doctors at Advocare ENT Specialty Center specialize in diagnosing and treating hearing-related issues and use their expertise to offer a wide array of treatments based on each individual’s specific hearing condition. Our practice also screens patients for hearing loss who may not be aware of the significance of their hearing loss. Treatments are focused on preserving and enhancing each patient’s hearing and can include hearing aids to amplify sound for those with hearing loss, surgical interventions like cochlear implants for severe hearing impairment, or procedures to address conditions affecting the middle or inner ear. Additionally, treatments may involve managing infections, removing blockages, or addressing structural abnormalities that impact hearing. Lastly, ear protection may be considered as an option for patients who work in a noisy environment or are on the cusp of significant hearing loss.

A thorough evaluation by our doctors, including hearing tests and exams, helps determine the most suitable treatment plan tailored to the individual's hearing needs and the underlying cause of the hearing problem. If hearing aids are deemed necessary, we work closely with Hearing Professionals of South Jersey (HPSJ), who can provide a complimentary hearing aid trial.  HPSJ also performs more advanced hearing restoration procedures such as bone anchored hearing aids and has a comprehensive Cochlear Implant program in conjunction with doctors at the University of Pennsylvania - https://hearingprofessionalsofsj.advocaredoctors.com/

Here at Advocare ENT Specialty Center, we specialize in diagnosing and treating various ear, nose, and throat (ENT) conditions in children (including newborns!). Pediatric ENT treatment encompasses a wide range of issues, including recurrent ear infections, tonsil and adenoid problems, snoring/sleep apnea, airway issues, hearing loss, speech and language disorders, and congenital abnormalities of the head and neck. Our otolaryngologists utilize various treatments tailored to each child's needs, such as medications, surgical interventions (like ear tube placement, tonsillectomy, or corrective surgeries for congenital anomalies), hearing aids, and counseling for developmental issues affecting the ears, nose, and throat. We also work with Hearing Professionals of South Jersey (HPSJ), who are one of the only centers in South Jersey who can perform hearing tests on newborns - https://hearingprofessionalsofsj.advocaredoctors.com/

Vertigo is the sensation of spinning or dizziness often caused by issues in the inner ear. It causes patients to be unable to perform their everyday tasks and responsibilities. Our doctors at Advocare ENT Specialty center are trained to diagnose and treat patients suffering from this debilitating condition. Treatment options for vertigo can include vestibular rehabilitation exercises aimed at improving balance and reducing dizziness, medications to alleviate symptoms, and in some cases, procedures like canalith repositioning maneuvers (such as the Epley maneuver) to reposition displaced inner ear crystals that cause vertigo. Additionally, treatments might involve addressing underlying conditions like Meniere's disease or benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) through dietary changes, medication, or surgical interventions in severe cases. We work closely with Hearing Professionals of South Jersey (HPSJ), who can provide additional testing options for those patients who require further evaluation - https://hearingprofessionalsofsj.advocaredoctors.com/
